Usually you will arrive into Nice Airport terminal two with easy jet or terminal one with either BA or BMI.

 

There are rental desks in the arrival terminal but it is just as quick to take the courtesy bus to the car rental area (about three minutes).

 

Once you get your vehicle you need to leave the airport and follow the signs for the A8 or the blue motorway signs. (About 5 minutes)

 

Head for the direction of Cagnes–Sur-Mer, Cannes, Aix-en-Provence. DO NOT head towards Monaco or Nice.

 

Leave the auto-route at junction 47  (about 12 minutes) sign posted Villeneuve-Loubet. You will need to pay a toll of €0.60. The quickest way is to have a euro (or the correct money) and head for the booth showing a basket. Throw the money in and your change will be refunded. Or you can use  your credit card in the slot. This is the same method for all of France and there are quite a few of these low cost tolls around this area. They are marked with the words PEAGE.

 

Follow the signs for Grasse  on the D2 and basically this is a straight road (bar a few roundabouts) all the way to Chateauneuf.

 

You will pass through a couple of stretches of forest area and the first village/ town you will arrive in will be Roquefort-les-Pins. (About 20 minutes). Carry on straight through there (unless of course you fancy a glass of wine)

 

The next village after that will be Le Rouret (About 25 minutes) where you will go straight through again. You will pass a Casino supermarket on your left and a few minutes later should arrive into Chateauneuf and a large roundabout.

 

At this large roundabout you will see a Pizzeria restaurant on your right called The Dragoniere, (about 30 minutes max from airport) turn right here into Chemin L'ubac, turn right into the chemin and there will be a field on your left and a green sign for The Hotel Campanile.

 

Carry on straight for a minute or so and take the very next right, Traverse St Jeaume this will take you up a small steep hill where you take the next right again into our domain. This is Domain de pre du lac and we are the 3rd house on the right called ‘Aurita’. Large metal gates. (Number 216/16)
